If it's the " Effects " that you want to access you do need to '
select ' that portion of the audio that you want to apply the effects
to by dragging thru it or using key combination ' command A ' to
select all. Some functions will be greyed out if they are not
applicable , ie no stereo to mo

Assuming that you are using Audacity for legitimate purposes
(otherwise we shouldn't help you and Tom will yell at us), what
are your issues? I've only used Audacity a little bit, but I've
tried it on OS X and Linux, and I haven't seen any loss of
functionality on OS X. The only real issue I hav
