The open-source Android based phones will starting popping up any time
now. Google's in October for $199 from T-Mobile I think.

I just got notice today from my cell phone provider that RIM is
coming out with a new phone shortly on the Verizon network. It is
called the Blackberry Storm (I think) and it is a touch phone style
phone. It does have buttons on the bottom but not much more is

"Connection" more than "comparison." The iPhone has really put the other
phone makers under pressure to compete.
The reviews are currently cutting these manufacturers a lot of slack.

I guess they are saying that it can do the same stuff, more or less, so if
you want iPhone capabilities but (for whatever reason) don't want to an
iPhone, this is a good alternative? I don't know, since I don't use either

I read three of the reviews. I'm not sure how this phone can be compared
directly to the iPhone. That's not knocking either phone, it's just that
they seem to be pointed at different markets. The E71 is marketed towards
blackberry users IMO, though like the iPhone the E71 doesn't have push. The
