I have had some bad experiences with compiling a new kernel, so I'm
hesitant to do help out in that respect. But it might be easy to do in
Ubuntu, not sure, will check that out.

I recently posted to this mailinglist regarding the upgrade of the
firmware of my harmony 555.
I was told that I might get some results if I booted the device into Safe mode.
I now have the remote in safe mode, and I have grabbed the latest
version of concordance from the CVS.
