I don't think I follow. In my kernel rpm I have a "detour" in the
kernel build to go build free

will do Sir, but its a brand new board :-) .
Regards,
Is there a bios update available because I had general protection problems
with version 6.0 on my Gigabyte 7Ix K7 motherboard but version 7 went on
flawlessly. Try the bios update and see if that works.

We have in our laboratory 10 K7 and all
The problem lies in a few areas. Mostly in the fact that even though
the athlon is a good cpu the motherboards use a chipset that is at best
rough around the edges. This leads to problems. Most of which cause
instability on some operating systems and no two motherboards seem to

Hiya
i seem to be hitting a brick wall when booting the cd-rom and trying to
install, instead of normally getting all the rpms to install this one just
chooses the miscelanous option (1mb) it fails another of other things too,
even in expert mode. No install what so ever.

No, the problem I'm having is that whenever I try to access the cd
drive, it accesses the floppy drive...determines that it is not a
cdrom and gives me an input/output error. If I change the filesystem
settings under linxconf to iso9660 instead of supermount it works
fine, but then I'm not us

Hi,
If I try to mount my Cdrom using supermount it tries to read the
floppy drive, and responds with an input/output error. I can mount it
using /dev/cdrom iso9660 /mnt/cdrom, I can no longer use supermount.
Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this or how I could
fix it?
