Hello,
I have just uploaded RPM's for KDE 2.1 CVS as of 2001-01-15. These RPM's are

the mirror sites on: http://www.linux-mandrake.com/cooker/. These RPM's are
for Mandrake 7.2 and Mandrake 7.1 users.

I have discovered an interesting problem with 2.4.0 and X, and I'm not sure
what's going on. I've been running XFree86-4.0.1-28mdk and related packages
for a while, with no major problems (aside from random segfaults from time

Hello

Well this is the point: I have to run a fortran program (a Montercarlo, used
for simulations) that since the first moment takes about the 99% of the CPU
(Athlon 1000). All the times it stops after about 15 minutes, and into the

I had the same problems with my install plus it wiped the partition

Hi!
I just did a Cooker install and noticed that DrakX still falls back to 16
color VGA for the i810 chipset, although it has been supported in XFree86 for
a while.
What version of XFree86 does DrakX use?
Has there been thoughts of running DrakX on framebuffer version of either QT
or Gtk?
Matt
I tried an ftp install of cooker at the weekend,
the only problems I had were,
Couldn't specify a netmask when setting up the network card.
Couldn't do an anonymous logon with no password.
also the list of available files(can't remember the name of the file), was
being downloaded a lot.
Hello.
While attempted to rebuild XFree86-4.0.2 for Mandrake 7.2, i was prevented
by concurring build requirement :
Glide_V3-DRI-devel
Glide_V2-devel
Trying to install the first conflict with the second, even with rebuild
cooker packages :
file /usr/lib/libglide3.so from install of Glide_V3-DRI-

I have not been paying attention to the moves to create 3 Cooker CDs,
and do not know how the installer works (what I do see I don't like
very much).
