Anyone else hit with RPM taking a long time ( ~15 seconds ) before it starts
to install something? I think I've had this problem ever since I upgraded to

iptables-restore does not accept -f -a arguments, and will exit
with an error if the initscript is run.

Did a clean ftp install from sunsite.uio.no today.
Neither KDE nor Gnome will start, both for the same reason.
They can't open console "" (empty string). I gather that this
is an environment variable that the installer should have set.
