I've been using a cable modem with Mandrake since 6.0 with no problems. It's a COM21 modem provided by Bresnan@Home (.bresnan.net). I don't do anything special...I just specify DNS servers, Gateway, my IP and subnet mask and everything works like a charm. -- Steve Fox http://pcxtreme.org
