ok I've tried several times this week to install 7.1 from the network (about 6-7 times). I'm not willing to try again until some stuff gets fixed, anyway here are a few tips to improve it: During the package selection process I got several "An error as occured: Died." After going into the

I'm installing 7.1 (not cooker) from the network. I came accross a bug while doing a custom install, a "fatal error, division by zero". I tried again with Automated install and it works fine so far. Sorry I don't have more details, just to let you know in case you can quickly fix something

I'm still installing 7.1 from the network. After installing all packages I get to "Configure timezone" with the following error: "cannot list the available zoneinfos". The console says "cd: can't cd to /mnt/usr/share/zoneinfo" .. and well, it's true I don't have that file. TTimo

I just installed the beta on a box with two HD, and UDMA 66 and an ATA 66. I was expecting this new version to recognize the ATA as stated in the changelog for 7.1 But it doesn't show up. Can anyone give me directions for ATA support? Links, howtos etc.? thanks TTimo

BTW: is this list the right place to post general post-installation configuration issues? for example: the modem doesn't work straight out of the box. It works if you use kppp, but gnome-ppp which launches pppd as a user doesn't. from /var/log/messages it seems my /dev/modem link doesn't have
