Actually, NO, do NOT uncomment the dga line.
You need to have it commented out because the option
is to "omit xfree86-dga". In the case of VMware, you
want to use DGA, not omit it, so leave that option line
commented out.

I've also this problems (the dga of 3.3.x works well with VMware but not
those on 4.0.1)...
