My maestro3 soundcard wasn't recognized/configured on my Dell Inspiron Laptop
I don't know what info you need to get it to detect/config, it needs alsa
drivers though:
here's from lspci:

This works perfectly on the HP N5195 laptop with kernel 2.2.17-21mdk
installed. harddrake does not regognize the new driver though.
