the compilation stopped (with the "normal" kernel) at this point:

With patch #54 and #55 commented out the .config file seem to be out of

Sorry I'm late about this, but between 13mdk and 14mdk a change was put
through that involves patch #54. This patch requires alsa. On an alpha
alsa isn't compiled, but an attempt is made to apply the patch:
