this has been around for some time, maybe since the glibc change but I'm
not sure here.
MC in a KDE konsole works fine. However, on a VT it segfaults whenever I
do ctrl-o and do some cat on any file and then do ctrl-o again to bring

Hello,
Since I updated to RPM4, I cannot see the effective files inside a RPM
archive by using midnight commander and pressing Enter above a RPM. I
can see the /INFO, INSTALL, UPGRADE, HEADER, contents.cpio files, but
not view any real file. Why?!

Hi!
Could you modify mc scripts so it could be possible to view everything what
is in rpm files. I think that changes are needed in file
/usr/lib/mc/extfs/rpm. In older versions of mc it was possible to view files
included in package without installing it. Although there are graphic rpm

Nice install and all that but the fine fonts are really getting at me.
The original Terminal has gone back to a pillar like form completely
worthless.
In xterm mc can be used.
when i try to open the XFree-4.0*rpm file in mc and try to read the content it
crashes. Is that somethink to do with cpio or my machine?

I thought so a long time my self. The contents are now in the "file"
contents.cpio. If you press enter while over that "file", you'll see the
contained files.

It does. It has a funny way of doing this now, but it does. FYI: it was
completely broken in several betas, but fixed before 7.1 got out.

mc no longer shows the guts of RPM files in 7.1 yet it does in 7.0.
Does anyone know why and how I can fix this? I *need* to be able to
navigate RPMs like I used to be able to. Is there something I need
to insert in ~/.mc/ini or something?
I tried to find some differences between mc-4.5.51 and

Greetings,
The Midnight Commander (mc) has changed it's handling of RPMs since 7.0.
I regularly use mc to check out RPM directory structures and also extract
files.
Now, the install, upgrade, header and scripts are all I see.
Thanks,
