I tried out Beta3 for some days now and i found the following bugs:
1)SoundBlasterLive! isn't installed automatically (emu10k1 module) I
was able to load it manually, but somehow the installation
programm didn't manage to do it by itself...
2) Unmounting of samba shares
I have found following problems with Mandrake 8.1 beta 1
1) While starting KDE-applications, menus didn't contain links for
applications. (There were links for documents, and things like run
command)
2 Mandrake RPM-update tool did not work for installing packages

I have a CDRW Yamaha 4001 IDE, emulated in scsi (lilo is correctly configured)
a mouse USB logitech
a Zip 250 drive USB
1. The zip drive is correctly recognized at install. But the shortcut on
the Desktop to the zip folder is incorrectly /mnt.zip, and

driver I don't know what kind of options it expects. It just doesn't work
(didn't work in previous versions of mandrake either.). I know that ot get it
