Make sure you run from the terminal and run /usr/lib/netscape/netscape-communicator. Not only was the script broken (e.g. /usr/bin/netscape*), but another bug existed which I have reported to the maintainer. Hopefully this will be fixed. And run it from the terminal so you'll get the error output.
