thx... I am going to take my chances... I am uh... currently using a Windoze machine to acquire the ISO image. so I don't know if "trimming" is possible. I am going to stay on this list... seems to have linux knowledge I desire. Maybe I will be windowless soon. That is the ultimate plan for mandra

You may be able to recover the download ... but you have to make sure you do it from the image you started with ;) You have a partial file on your hard drive, and know approx. how much of you you need to trim off the end to make it "ok" you could do something like this: /backup/cdwork (/dev
