(or macosxmanaxer for example) discussion lists in
www.apple.com. There is an easy solution, which I do not remember
right now. Still, you do not really need it for anything. Use sudo
instead.

after first try only problem I found was missing sound. My
computer is dual processor G4 with ATI rage 128 pro.

sat I left initrd
out, because it was not needed in my system. But I think that the
important part in my case was to compile and install the modules, I
think that some important modules were added at that point.

Yamaha external SCSI drive. Same thing worked with os 9.04 and 9.2,
so I do not thing that MacOs is issue. The cd 1 is bootable as it is
supposed to be.

anyone else used both CD's to install?
I used both CDs, and one time I got similar error. Can not remember the exact
situation. Once It did the same also for first CD, but this was when everything
was already running. I think it was somehow unable to mount the cd.
