Hi.
One of the things I enjoy eating for breakfast is French Toast. I've never
made it before. How easy is it, and is it doable for a fairly recent guy in
the kitchen?
I am both wanting and willing to try.

I can't imagine tuna salad sandwiches without celery and mayo. I like to
add pickles or pickle relish and maybe sesame seeds.
As for hot tuna casserole, it has to have something crispy like bread crumbs
or grated cheese (not melted). Not sure about the cream of mushroom soup.
Anyone have other i
Sherri, that's a good idea about putting the use-by date on goods you
buy. I just tried to keep that information in my head, but since my
head is useless, these days, I'm going to adopt your method of marking
the products with the use-by date. Thanks for the idea.
Take care.

The spelling is almost correct; substitute a k for the c and you have
it. I almost pasted in the recipe I have, but I remembered in time
that you don't want recipes from the Internet.
Baklava isn't really complicated, but you have to work quickly to keep
the Phyllo dough from drying out.

Yes, that's correct: By putting the eggs in the skillet and covering
the skillet, you do not have to flip the eggs over. A friend who was
a chef at one time taught me that method, and I never use any other
method, now. You can use butter or Pam or whatever you wish.
Hope you find this method to
How about frittatas. This is a potato dish, sort of baked mashed potatoes as
the base. A few years ago someone sent a recipe to the list that called for
red and green peppers and some other veggies. It was great, but now I can't
find it. There are some where your use mini muffin tins, but it
I just got a bit of this message, so when you fry eggs, and you placed him on a
medium heat with I use butter but I'm sure some of you use oil but anyway just
place them in the pan and let them cook with a lid covered over them? You don't
have to flip them? That is my problem I can never do Frid
I would probably try the garlic herb one and maybe the lemon and pepper, but
the others I do not know! LOL

Hi everyone
Originally, I was trying to find a copycat recipe for tuna twist. I may find
one yet for posting.
StarKist Tuna Creations was mentioned. The 2.6-ounce single serve pouches
come in five flavors: garlic and herb, ranch, lemon pepper, sweet and spicy
and hickory smoked. The site also
The commercial gave the basics away. It was an animated commercial, and the
characters were vegetables. It started out with a male voice announcing,
"I'm Sir Celery," followed by a female voice saying, "I'm Miss Parsley," and
then a pair of very nasal voices sang, "We are the Onion Twins". Then th
It was a flavor enhancement packet you put in your tuna when making tuna
salad.
My roommate likes some of the flavored tunas, but I haven't tried them.

The tuna would be the current 5 ounce cans. They get smaller and smaller and
the price goes up and up.

I've made this before. The dough is very thin. It breaks when you pick it
up, or curls over. It'll almost for sure break when you spread the nut
mixture. Then yoou have to get the layers of dough and filling to line up
in a stack. The result is very, very awesomely tasty. If you don't have

Well, I did end up throwing the cake mix out--and while I was at it, a
few more which were in the pantry. When I went to the grocery store
yesterday, I asked the person who was helping me shop about the dates
on cake mixes. One which I just bought (and will ultimately
