Ok, I'm new to this list (umm, like 5 mins) and have recently switched from qmail handeling pop3 to courier handling pop3 and imap with qmail receiving the mail. My problem is that the messages i'm getting are 8 hours out (i'm in GMT) ie, its 1:50pm here and messages i get are timestamped 5:5

hi again i just found that probably not the pam.d/pop3 config is the culprit itself, but ... i just noticed that i get pop3d: Maildir: No such file or directory errors in my maillog. now, i can't see how to tell pop3d where to look for the user's home/maildir dirs? with authmysqlrc this was cle

I found the problem... so for future trouble-shooting when somebody reports these symptoms: Essentially the .courier-foo lookup was failing because the authentication process was failing with authldap. I had it in the list of modules for authdaemon, but had not set it up to work against any
