Dears,
I've setup a new mailserver with postfix-courier and mysql.
The full postfix configuration works fine.
Sending mail to server.domain -- postfix checks the user in mysql

The problem comes with courier and authmysql.

Is there any way to turn on verbose debug logging for couriertcp and or
courieresmtpd?
This is what I'm seeing but have no way to know what's happening. There is

connection to smtp but nothing shows up in the log except this broken pipe
message.

If your postfix is setup to support virtual domains you can put an entry
into the virtual table to redirect a domain. Just put @domain.to.redirect
in address field and @domain.to.goto in goto field.

The only place i've seen where you can redirect entire domains to

Sam,
You're my hero :) That worked for either configuration I had in LDAP. This
should be documented somewhere, is it? If not maybe I can write up a blurb
for the FAQ on what I did and a sample LDIF or something.

Hello,
I do run courier on my systems for a while now and I'm very happy with it
regarding the standards and flexibility. But I notice that sometimes the

I'm using Courier-mta, not postfix.
Has anybody got a full courier-mta/imap/maildrop working with LDAP and
full multiple virtual domains?
The only thing i've found that I think covers the multiple domains (at

Thought this might be helpful to others. This /home/$USER/.mailfilter will

Well, this is not a 100% failsafe filter, there is a small chance of a
false positive; however the tradeoff, I think, is worth it:

Its been awhile since I setup qmail+vpopmail+courier but I recently had
to do this on a new server. IIRC, you could disable authdaemond and just
use vchkpw with courier. How do I specify this?

I have a problem, where Courier has stopped logging to /var/log/maillog
This all started when I removed that log, to get a fresh start, assuming
courier would create it again. It didn't..
I touch'ed that file, set it to the exact perms of another working courier

Courier does not log to /var/log/maillog.
Courier logs syslog messages. Your syslog daemon is responsible for saving
syslog messages somewhere.

Is there a flag that we can set in the config for the IMAP

isn't needed, and more specifically the server doesn't
need to be able to chdir into that dir?
