I'm not saying this is an actual security bug. I'm only asking if
this is an inconsistency that I'm misreading or misunderstanding.

default number of authdaemond processes that are started from 5 to
10. Despite the increased resource usage, I'm pleased that there
setup can definitely be made to work -- I use it daily. I think

m a time before the Courier authentication module was split out
into its own distribution, courier-authlib. The names of the config
files are still the same, but all of the authentication-related
configuration is now found in /etc/authlib, or /usr/local/etc
Note that 'authdaemonrc' exists in '/etc/authlib', it's only
'authmysqlrc' that is missing.
This means that you didn't build courier-authlib with MySQL support,
otherwise the example config file is au

This warning is from libtool and means that you are missing the vpopmail
shared libraries (libvpopmail.so*). Is there an RPM or something else
that provides that for Linux?

I hate to point out the obvious here, but you might want to ask this
question on either a Cyrus SASL mailing list or a Postfix mailing list.
This mailing list is for Courier, which has nothing to do with either
Cyrus SASL nor Postfix.
