Hello All, Could someone tell me why telneting from a remote server into a server running courier esmtp/25 takes a long time to get a response: 220 Cmail ESMTP Telneting from localhost is much faster. Btw, i disabled dns checking via: BOFHCHECKDNS=0 Regards, Kenny

Hello, Yes, it does take about 30 seconds to get response but I do get a response back with 220 Cmail ESMTP instead of timing out. I did check the dns server and also atttempted to run identd etc, everything works fine. If it's a DNS problem, could you point me to a solution? Regards,
