Hi,
I've got a strange one.
One of our e-mail addresses is aliased to a program. (Our support
ticket system)
Whenever we send an e-mail to that address, it gets forwarded TWICE to
the program.
There is only one entry in the aliases/default file:
support: | /usr/Mail/support.sh
Does anybody
Hi,
Sorry to bother you, but I believe our team has found a significant bug
in courier.
We noticed that courier was taking up more and more system resources
and slowing down our mail server.
Upon further analysis, we found that courier was constantly looking for
files in the MSGS directory th
n the msgs directory. For some reason, they were being
hard linked to the files in the archive directory instead.
This causes courier to continuously look for files in the msgs diretory
that aren't there.

We've never done either. This is a fresh install with nothing copied
in or created from outside courier.

Hi,
We are experiencing some very strange behavior on our system running
courier.
Our mail server has gotten slower and slower over time. We noticed
that courier is the culprit.
Apparently, it is spinning in an endless loop trying to access queue
files that don't exist.

I'm really stuck on a few features. We would be more than willing to
pay for some brief phone support.
Is there anybody who knows this package well who wants to make a quick $100
Thanks,

That makes sense, but then what do I do for virtual users? I have a
separate directory for each users mail (/data/Mail/noah /data/mail/bob
etc...)

I've decided to use the maildroprc file to set a global filter for all mail.
The file is:
xfilter "/usr/local/bin/spamc -f"
The permissions on this file are set to the same user as the user id for
virtual users.
For some reason, no filtering happens. does anybody have a clue why?
Thanks,
would really like to have all mail
filtered through spamassasin. Additionally, it would be nice to
understand where/how to set up additional mail filters for each user.
Please help, I get hundreds of spam a day. I'm desperate.

Hi,
Sorry to keep throwing problems out to the group, but this thing is
really tricky to configure.
I'm trying to get ALL incoming mail to run through spamassassin. (no
exceptions, ever.)
I've put the following line in courierd:
courierd:DEFAULTDELIVERY="| /usr/local/bin/spamc -f |
/usr/lib
Brilliant.
So simple, that I wish I thought of it.
Thanks!!

Hi,
I'm having trouble with setting up an alias. We use an e-mail
management ticketing system for our support tickets. All e-mail sent to
"support" goes to this management program. There is not actual "user".
My challenge is that I need to call this program with a bunch of
additional text
tion I think.

Hi,
I've got everying installed an configured "normally".
For some reason when I send an e-mail from my desktop (client) it takes
30-45 seconds to send. I watched the TCP packets and it seems like
courier hangs for a really long time after an initial connection is
made. Anybody know why??

I do see a file called "/usr/lib/courier/etc/aliases.dat". It currently
belongs to root. could that be the problem?

My problem is with aliases. I created a file in
