I think Alex is exactly right - Jan (and Sept) are just times of renewal when people think about starting new things. Although we don't get any students, we have a lot of moms who work part-time, and that group definitely seeks us out in the September time-frame as their kids head back to school

I know that our surge had no correlation to events, press, or anything. My intuition tells me that it's something like the "I'm going to go the gym" resolution. Many people use the new year to start new things they wanted to but never could get around to. Much like gyms experience large new member

Molly, Just because my marketing mind wants to know, what do you attribute the surge in January and September to? Are there specific events that lend to the surge twice a year? My initial guess would be school related, but I can't imagine that students are your core clientèle. Any thoughts? D. -
