We believe that shared spaces such as conference rooms and collaborative
spaces, whether they are reserved solely for private use by members or made
available to visitors and guests, are a high value but perishable asset (eg
you pay for the asset up front, in the form of your lease paymen
We put our conference room up front, so that traffic is quickly separated away
from the larger community of desk/office people.

We offer each level of membership a certain number of hours per month. If they
need additional time they can purchase it for the member rate of $25 per hour.
So far this has worked out pretty well. Most members don't need more than we
allot per level ( we also let people just step into
We include some meeting room time depending on the level of membership (none
for part-time, 2 hours/week for full-time, 4 hours/week for teams) and then
they can add 8 additional hours for $50. So it's still pretty cheap if they
need more time, but it keeps it a little more under control.

Excellent question. We haven't had to answer it because we've never charged
for meeting rooms or allowed non-members to use them. It seems people
either consider themselves in the meeting room business, or they avoid the
issue all together. I'd be interested to look more into the gray areas like

day use (meetings, clinics, etc) and after-hours classes and clinics. Sometimes
these rooms are booked for 4 hours or more. With the growing membership,
meeting space is limited as well there is a slight extra effor
