I am reminded of Jerzy Kozynski. He carried a camera around and would use it in instances like this. Or so he writes.
It is pretty sobering to have someone take evidentiary pictures of ones bad behavior or illegal acts.

Yeah, I'll go with that. I went through a phase where I read his stuff. I loved Being There.
I do not know if his reported history (orphan during WW2, all alone, losing speech till he was an adult etc.) is true, but I did enjoy some of his stuff.

Being there and painted bird were both good books. He was a good friend of a friend of my mothers. He came to our house with her once or twice when I was a kid. Truly it was the moment I understood what the word asshole meant.

As an interesting aside, he was supposed to be at Sharon Tate's house the night that she was murdered. I can't remember if his plane was delayed or what the circumstances were that caused him to not be there were.
