I recall seeing him on television at the Conservative Party Conference, when
he did his "stunt" of taking off his jacket being asked about a handgun ban.
He replied that the Government was going to wait for Cullen's Report. The

Major made any comment suggesting he was going to ban handguns in the summer
of 1996.
Certainly in August a junior minister made a comment that
