The cygwin install will not have touched your old gmake from a vendor,

Dear Cygwin-friends,
I got a big problem in creating a userfriendly cygwin-installation.
For this I want to set only two certain packages (procmail, wget) as default
instead of Skip (apart from the base packages).
I read on cygwin-page, that I have to create a setup.hint-file for every
package.

Hi!
In case this wasn't clear enough, there is a Src? box behind most
cygwin packages when you use setup.exe, if you check that you will find
the source package and patches in /usr/src/.
Thanks I was not aware of that or

I have an C program (japach) that I compiled under cygwin on Windows NT. That

on Windows x64. Should it be compatible on x64 since it has WOW which would
allow 32-bit applications to run in Windows x64? Is

Hi,
We are having the same problem then the one you already answers last year in:

Since the cygwin-1.5.21-1 specified that future release might not support win_9x
Do you have any plan for supporting longer path/filename than the

After some time debugging I figured out a way to add a prompt option
to the right-click menu on directories and drives that works for
my alternate drives and network directories. I think it should be
able to be generalized for other shells, but I use Bash.
