Well I've worked that one out from another post in the archive:
: These files should reside in /etc/X11/xkb and there should be a symlink to
: this directory at /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb.

unpackit with bunzip and copy the file to /etc/X11/XF86Config.
Now search for the line
Option "XkbRules" "xfree86"
Option "XkbModel"
Hi,
I guess based on your email address that you're in Italy, so probably
you don't know that "KKK" has a very, very bad connotation in the
United States where many of the Cygwin subscribers reside.
KKK is short for the Ku Klux Klan, a violently racist vigilante group

Fantastic. That did it. Thanks very much!
David
Hi
You will need more than that in your /etc/X11/XF86Config file:-
Section "ServerLayout"
Identifier "dummy"
Screen "dummy"
InputDevice "Keyboard1" "CoreKeyboard"
EndSection
Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Keyboard1"
Driver "Keyboard"

Andrew,
The selection becoming unhighlighted is the expected, though undesirable
behavior of -clipboard. There has been much discussion of this on the

the full explanation.
No comments on the other bugs. Kensuke will nee
