Hi I have just gone to the latest cygwin (I needed the latest ImageMagick dicom conversion) But now when I try startx or startxwin.bat, I get a white dialog box with an X in the top corner and nothing else happens (I cannot type into the box). Any ideas on what I have set up incorrectly? Thanks

Hi, I use a Cygwin Xserver on Windows for Xterms. Now I have to access a remote desktop using VNC. I find that if I open both, they conflict. For example, if you do a copy/paste operation, both of them hang. Is there any information on this? I need to use both of them at the same time. Regards

Instead of trying to make XWin.exe acknowledge the -slient-dup-error switch, have you considered eliminating the need for it to do so. If you need Cygwin everytime you use your PC, consider the following solution: Add C:\cygwin\usr\X11R6\bin\startxwin.bat to the startup menu so that X is runnin
