requirements is 2.9 . Fedora repos supply 2.8.
Unless there's a 2.9 version available from Fedora that I don't know about.

darktable has been pushed to stable repositories a few hours ago [1].
The process should end in next hours

2.2.0 is already available as a update for Fedora 25. 2.2.1 is only 5 hours
old as I write this, but the person that manages the Fedora packages
updates them fairly quickly so it shouldn't take long.
