Hi there,
I'm often using darktable at different locations with a laptop and at a
workstation at home.
The images and the sidecar files are stored at the workstation.
The laptop is connected to the workstation all the time and has access
to the files.
Does anybody know what happens to the tags
Tony,
You know, I don't think I have ever noticed that option! Sounds perfect.
I'll investigate.
Thanks.

Hi Bruce,
If I understand it correctly, you could have exported your tags from the
Windows installation, to USB (or directly to your laptop if you have
connectivity), as a .txt file using the export button at the bottom of
the lighttable tagging module, then re-import those tags in the Mint

Happy new year everyone!
Just a quick question about tags. I recently travelled for Christmas. I
took the laptop, and copied images from memory card to the laptop
using darktable. I then tagged all of those images using dt 4.2 on Windows.
When I got home, I sent all of those images and xmp files
Thanks a million. Did not go that deep down. I changed it and now I can
rename the path.

Did you set the module to the 'tree'-mode?

In 'list' mode it's not available.

Hello to all
I have one not really important question. I moved my tags one year ago to dt
from Lightroom. I do have a hierarchical system and for the locations I have
the following system:
- Locations Landscapes
— Locations (which is not applied to any image)

Do you want to start fresh? Then you should exit
Hi,
it will work, but I have some comments:

Hello
I am quite new to dt after having been with Lightroom and for two years with
Luminar. My digital Pictures are about 25’000, most of them organised in LR.
Because of the two years with Luminar and other reasons I had quite a mess with
the tags. I tried to reorganise the tags with dt,
