Hi All,
The module map can work in darktable 1.7.0+623~g35a8ea5 on Ubuntu 14.10.
I solve this issue in downloading the 3 following packages from
trusty-backports:
http://packages.ubuntu.com/trusty-backports/amd64/gir1.2-osmgpsmap-1.0

I believe in the current stable 1.6 version, it now applies the ratings,
color labels, etc. to the image being previewed. Which version are you
running?

I tried that some time ago with no success.
How do I link a packa
Thanks.
I was struggling with a really old ATI Radeon card (2008?) and realised it
probably was never going to work. I managed to get hold of a more modern
machine with an Nvidia Quadro 2000 card and did a fresh install of Fedora
21. After struggling with various incomplete or non working tutor
"nvidia-modprobe" was the problem in my case also, actually more than
once. Now I have a pasteit on the wall above the monitor "Install
nVidia modprobe"

Oh ok, no problems. As I said, even with the libosmgpsmap-1.0-dev
package installed still no go. Be nice if this could be fixed as I'm
keen to try geo-tagging on my pictures.

I know, sorry!
I just wanted let the devs know.
I guess nobody with x_buntu 14.10 can build with map module.

Even with the libosmgpsmap-dev package installed I get the same error
message about the missing libosmgpsmap package.
