It looks like a problem with the database. If you use the git-master version, sometimes the changes are not compatible with the old database and then DT recreates it from scratch. Two workarounds come to my mind: 1.- Go into the folder ~/.config/darktable/ and rename the library.db to something els

Whenever i start darktable, many of the thumbnails have to regenerate. i've often tried waiting for all of the thumbnails to generate only to have them blank again after i quit and start darktable again. what am i change to make sure that the thumbnails are retained? michael ---
