Help --
I am lost trying figure out what occurs to me a really simple problem.
CGI->Perl->MySQL.
Users pounding data into a CGI-Perl web page feeding MySQL.
If the user enters a special character it crashes.
As in "Bob's Market"... Yeah - trap for special chars and escape them.

I am porting a dbase (Foxpro for DOS) application to MySQL.
I have managed to get enough of it running with test some data and
forms. I am starting to feel reasonably comfortable with the idea.
Help - again.
I have two old dinosaur apps in FoxPro 2.5 DOS (50 to 150k records
relational).
My goal is to move them to the net with Perl 5.8 using MySQL running on
a RedHat Box.
What format is the easiest way to get my data ported over?

I am still lost struggling with getting DBI up ona RH box.
OS = RH8.0
Perl = RH Perl 5.8.0
I am trying to get a DBI module installed (any kind of DBD would make me
happy) and am striking out.
I have downloaded from CPAN and used every web page instruction.

I am trying to get the DBI-DBD module installed and am failing.
I have downloaded the DBI drivers from cpan and I keep getting a
"failure to find loadable module" if I try to run the makefile.
How do I figure out what I am doing wrong?
