I seem to recall that sendmail, for one, leaves it up to the local delivery agent what to do about [EMAIL PROTECTED] formatted e-mail addresses--in all cases. I'd say that what would makes sense from an algorithmic standpoint is to just send the e-mail to the inbox if the specified folder doesn't

[Dbmail-dev] SnapperMail 2.0 compatibility / RFC adherence

2004-08-30 Thread Simon Cocking
Hi, I've been trying to get SnapperMail 2.0 (an IMAP client for PalmOS) to play nicely with dbmail (an old v1.2 installation), and it's not been a happy experience. Firstly, dbmail wasn't outputting a timezone in its INTERNALDATE response, which from my reading of the RFC is mandatory..

[Dbmail] Using DBMail as a Mailman archiver

Hello, A colleague told me about the existence of DBMail. Sounds very cool. I have not yet installed it, as I'd have to upgrade my MySQL installation first. Before I do install DBMail, I'd like to ask if it's possible to use DBMail simply as a Mailman archiver. Mailman, by default, uses

Hi List. I was wondering if it is possible to use both DBmail and local delivery in parallel in my transition period? Any ideas? my current idea is to use procmail for local delivery and create a procmail file for each user, this will also allow me to sort messages into different folders.

You can implement this in the MTA. One way is to have one server for receiving all SMTP traffic. This server has each user defined as a mailinglist in the aliasfile. My aliasline would look like magnus: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] Magnus Barak Bejerano wrote: Hi List. I was
