There is a very large installed base already, by making this more

It has been a while for me to participate in my most favorite project.

I'm a 'features' guy so a language like Python helps me to add

For spam filtering: it would help to put this on a different machine.
Spam filtering is quite IO intensive
as is DBmail so you might want to do that on a different machine.

I think your table space is full. You should create more table space.

We're not experiecing any problems here.

Hi all,
I was thinking about building a dedicated smtp server for dbmail. This
will not be a full smtp server implementation (no relaying and stuff
like that) but pureley an smtp reception daemon. This has the following
advantages:
• much higher mail reception throughput
• direct
Hi All,
Since everybody is talking about bugs these days we've setup a generic
bugtracker for our opensource projects (of which dbmail is one). Please
report bugs (after reviewing the open bug list) at

Hi,
We had to change the going live date to 1 dec because of some big

These changes will not affect database layout. We advise to not use the

Hi Michah,
I'm very curious about your segfault. Could you send me the e-mail message
on which dbmail-smtp dies? (postcat on the queue file will do the trick)
Thanks,

Hi Micah,
What version are you using?
There was a 'bug' in previous version which was caused by \0 in a the pipe
stream from postfix. The dbmail-smtp program assumed that this could not be
happening. This should however be fixed in the newest release.
What dbase are you using as backend?

Since Roel is a very french loving (and fluently french speaking) guy he'll
probably fix this as soon as he gets back from his holiday. He'll be back in

Hi Sam,
You can also convert to postgresql. Just make dumps and use the mysql import
tool. Postgresql can grow to 17 Tbyte table sizes.

It seems that outlook express is handling this the wrong way. It seems to be
opening a connection for every move (which is actually a copy / delete
command). This is not supposed to be happening according to the RFC.
Commands can be given asynchroniously in the same session..

Hi,
I've got about 50 pages of docs right now. About 30 more and i'll upload the

Hope to have this done within a week or two.
First we have to fix some minor bugs with postgresql and daemon process
management.

Radius athentication could be built in about a day. You should implement the
functions defined in auth.h for radius and DBMAIL will authenticate to
Radius.

Hi,
Your TRACE_VERBOSE is set to 1 which should throw debug info to sterr or
stdout.. Somehow the pop does this to the stream. This will be fixed later.
