query, rather than having to keep all the code in the webmail app, that
would be a big step forward. You know, an API like IMAP or POP or such. :)
Anyway, I'm a big quitter, so I never even attempted to port the codebase
to the dbmail 2.x trunk.

the From is 'escaped' ( /^>From/ ) but I don't know if the
mail sending program (mail) or the receiving postfix
did it.
Anybody have any ideas on how to handle this? Another tool
to get the data in to dbmail (2.3.x)?

bmail imported it with
no problem. I'm currently importing my larger mailboxes, and don't
expect any issues. I'll keep you up to date here if there are
problems.

We still use it in our mail systems.
It's not the "best" authentication method, and outlook express
refuses to play nicely with it, but it's better than having an
open mail system.
