I would love to see this. And in the relatively few forays I've made over to
dead.net there appear to be quite a few show tales, especially for many of the
older shows, that would be fun to include.
But I do like the current layout for each show so I'd be careful about making
it too cluttered.
The more I think about it, the more it makes senst that the article was in
error.

Having once been in the business of writing these among other things in
print media, I tend to agree. It was actually typed on Saturday and whoever
was doing the typing made a mistake on the first one meant to write
today but was thinking of it in terms of it being tomorrow

Whats the deal with the 3/17/67 entry for Santa Rosa? Should that be deleted
as well?

I think it's just a copy editing error. I agree the performance was on Sunday.
First:
- it is a 4-day fête
- it opened Friday evening, making it Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon
It is clear the article was meant to be published on Sunday:
- it reads "opened on Friday evening… and will close tomorrow night" (Mon.)
I can look into this later tonight.
I have the article - can you send me a copy of the display ad from page 52? I
have another display ad scan I recieved from Ihor - it looked to me like
something that may have come from an undergournd newspaper, but matches what
you are saying. That ad
Personally, I'm in favor of adding lots of additional information that is
not actual performance set lists and recordings related, including at least:
- Canceled shows
- Rescheduled from dates
- Personal reviews
- Links to photos/media coverage of events

Teddy -
Kevin has already entered most all the updates I posted in yesterday's flurry.
As of last night there was one fix-it that needed to be done regarding the song
list attached to 11/19/66 being changed to that date in March 1967 - but he may
have gotten to that already.

Dave, I have come around to the view that the Dead's set must have been on
Sunday 6/16.
As you note, the NYT of 6/16/68 contains contradictory information about
the date of this. An article says the rock session (including GD) will take
place "tomorrow", i.e., on Monday, 6/17. But a display ad on
I'd love to see Deadlists use more complete bibliographic references when
noting things like show reviews. More transparency is better! In this case,
I have the reference as Diehl, Digby. 1967. Kaleidoscope Opens at Embassy
Room. Los Angeles Times, April 18, 1967, p. D10, in case you are interested
Kevin,
Can I assume that updates/corrections Dave posted for 1966/67 still need to be
entered? Let me know please and if still are needed I'll do it over the
weekend. Last time I tried to do caretaking I was not able too.
