Hi Jim,
I'm not sure why you've associated me with the 8/18/70 and 8/19/70 Fillmore
West shows or why you think that I might have some knowledge about the
masters, etc? Unfortunately I don't know anything about these shows other
than what I've seen on Deadlists.

Man, I just gotta say that Pigben really completed the picture when he was
with them and still really involved. Kept it grounded, funky, raunchy and
extra outrageous. It was Pig's mojo (often at the end of the night) that
got ya to finall

Re: part of the questions surrounding 7/11/70 & 7/12/70:
Many years ago, when I first saw the Deadbase entries for the Dead at
Midnight run, I started to doubt my instinctual memory that the show that I
taped in it's entirety was 7/12/70 (the "Sunday" show - the last one in the
series). Since

Speaking of which, I was walking in Berkeley this afternoon and when I
passed the old Owsley lab house on Virginia St., there were some kids

I attended the 2/11/70b show listed and it definitely was a late show. I
have some old Fillmore East programs from that time and I think this is
among them. I'll try to dig them up.

Great fun.
Note: the first picture of the Dead labeled 1970, looks to me like it was
taken much earlier, probably around '66-67...

For those that haven't heard, Ken Kesey passed on Saturday, Nov.
10th. Below is a brief message from Ken Babbs:
"Kesey's belly was hurting and the docs did a scan and found a black spot
on his liver. It was cancerous but encapsulated which meant there was no
cancer anywhere else. They decided
