The spelling issues here are an interesting problem, but I wonder how far the question
can reasonably be pressed -- what on earth, for example, could be done to give an
"authentic" spelling for the venue of the Egyptian shows in 1978? A transliteration of
the Arabic wouldn't be of much use, espe
