Hi Daniel, I don't think it's useful to have such a complicated formula. And another thing: DebConf attendees should book their train tickets from Europe early and directly to Yverdon and not just to the border, as there are huge discounts available: An example: Wien - Yverdon-les-Bains one-way

Directly to Vaumarcus, so no need to buy a further ticket (which could be complicated for non CHF bearing people). Fortunately Vaumarcus is still considered on rail network (just checked on DB). If possible, yes, but sometimes for those small stations the special discounts are not offered.
