3D games stop

2006-02-03 Thread Gian Domeni Calgeer
Hello I have the following problem: whenever I play a 3D game like ppracer or torcs the display freezes every once and then for half a second or so. This is quite annoying. This doesn't occur when using a 32-bit Debian or 64-bit SuSE. Xorg.0.log doesn't show any helpful information. dmesg

Not quite that bad. There is no need for the xserver for example, as the 32-bit processes have no problem talking to the 64-bit server. No problem is an overstatement. Normal things work well, but 3D acceleration doesn't work if a 32-bit prgram is connected to a 64-bit X-server. This

gl-117 won't work: segfault when moving mouse

Hi I can start gl-117 without any problem. If I move the mouse, however, it crashes after a second or so. I even can't stop X.Org with Control-Alt-Bachspace or switch to a console with Alt-F1. The only possibility is the Reset-Button or to start sleep 60; killall -9 gl-117 before starting
