Hey. At first, sorry for my bad English. I had this same problem today, on all versions of kernel-package in Debian's repo. But i solved the problem. The problem was in .config file, on line "CONFIG_LOCALVERSION", where I had capital letters. When I changed it, make-kpkg dont return any error.
