You can sort of work around this by binding the number pad to the
arrow key behaviour via the gnome gui(keyboard preferences) . I
haven't tested but you may also be able to set the arrow keys manually
(to work).

pages, and I am guessing that these are shipped by Debian.
No, only tzfile.5. Debian ships its own version of tzselect.8.
