Applied the patch to a 3.16 kernel. I had to edit line by line the source file because the diff wouldn't behave nicely, and then compiled the kernel with make-kpkg. Running for about 12 hours. Gone into sleep mode and out of it. All seems nice up to now. I'll you keep posted if anything breaks.
