I’m experiencing the same issue.
Downgrading just imagemagick-6-common fixes it, and the changes in
8:6.9.11.57+dfsg-1 are what introduces the issue.
The change appears to be specifically the addition of to /etc/ImageMagick-6/type.xml, manually removing
will also fix.
