I figured out i was doing things wrong (compiling with libc++ and them removing
it manually form compile_commands.josn) so this is a PBKAC please close the
bug report.

Running clang-tidy-14 asserts, example
I have run the same in archlinux clang-tidy-14 and it does not assert,
so I think it may be a Debian specific issue

This is not a bug in poppler, it does what we intented it to do.
xpdf doesn't use poppler.
If you have a xpdf that is using poppler someone is giving you something that
they call xpdf but it is not really xpdf.
Please don't contact the poppler project about bugs in xpdf since it has
nothing

keyboard layout was changed so that AltGr+4 is the deadkey ~ instead of ~
The change was introduced at request of someone who is not a Spanish user.

This is even more important because if you loop it enough times, the strncat
ends up overflowing the paperswitch static allocated space and it ends up
crashing, my suggestion would be to init paperswith to empty and also check
if strlen is 0 on the if, and then doing the strncat of both the
11 matches
