Maybe your problem is related to python: try reinstalling every python
package alredy installed in your system. I was stuck in the same situation
after updating from a etch/lenny system to a pure lenny. Reinstalling python
packages resolved my issues with rhythmbox plugins.

looks very similar to your problem.

Edos-debcheck, and builddebcheck as well, have problems in parsing non-
policy-compliant version numbers.
I saw some 'strange' versions that make edos break.
Some of this are already corrected in his packages, anyway, there are some
of them:
1 - version

/usr/share/edos-debcheck/add-sources.py should have exec permission.

As you noticed the bug is due to an erroneous use of the admin_url()
function.
I'll fix the bug as soon as possible; in the meanwhile use version
2.5.1-5 from lenny please.
