I'm going to see if I can get the related librsync1 bug fixed so this
problem can be resolved. It's really annoying when doing full backups
and since the rsync bug hasn't been touched for more than 2 years, I

I can confirm this bug still exists. I'm encountering it on some large
files when using rdiff-backup. It either results in a process loop
maximising CPU load, or provides a librsync 107 error as illustrated in
this thread.
