forever and ever.
I also tried with other packages, and the same.
My network is
w me to abuse, two wishes (basically, two
capabilities of reportbug missing in reportbug-ng):
a) Remind what critical, grave, etc means anytime we report a bug.
b) Allow to send directly through an SMTP, and from the email address we
type, without an email application (very useful if we use a gmail account)

The problem is made worse by the fact that /etc/logrotate.d/acpid
contains:
postrotate
/etc/init.d/acpid restart >/dev/null
at which point X will lose the acpid socket connection and grab the
/proc/acpi/event node instead and acpid will fail to restart.

I retract my conclusion from my previous mail that the problem was caused
by module load order. If I remove alsa modules and slamr and then reinsert

This part of your log says it all. You need to properly configure your
display modes since the autoconfigured ones aren't working for you. I
recommend looking in your monitor's instruction manual and setting the mode
by hand.

One question: is this only a problem of mailto: _forms_ or does it also happen
with mailto: _links_ (i.e. mailto:...";)?
The MUA used by the latter can definitely be controlled via the
gnome-control-center (I have firefox-gnome-support installed).

I can't give you a real time line for this, since it's been mainly me doing
this on the Debian side so far, but I'm hoping to get all of modular in to
unstable within the next two or three months, but it's possible that it'll
go faster.

A simpler fix is probably to simply change line 28 in /scripts/local
from "modprobe ${FSTYPE}" to "modprobe -q ${FSTYPE}" as it is the only
place where a fs is loaded and since almost all other modprobe
invocations use the "-q" parameter.
